    Dextran sulfate sodium salt (MW 4500-5500) is a polymer of anhydroglucose with a molecular weight of 4500-5500. Dextran sulfate sodium salt (MW 4500-5500) can be used to induce acute colitis and cause apoptosis of colonic epithelial cells in mice. The recommended molecular weight in the study is 5000 (HY-116282) and the use concentration is 5% (in feed, W/W). The sulfated polysaccharide dextran sulfate is also an effective inhibitor of HIV. Dextran sulfate sodium salt (MW 4500-5500) can significantly inhibit HIV-1 replication at concentrations that do not significantly inhibit the blood coagulation process.
