Description	SMAC Antibody (YA1993) is a rabbit-derived non-conjugated IgG antibody (Clone NO.: YA1993), targeting SMAC, with a predicted molecular weight of 27 kDa (observed band size: 21 kDa). SMAC Antibody (YA1993) can be used for WB, IHC-F, IHC-P, ICC/IF, IP experiment in human, mouse, rat background.
Background	The related gene encodes an inhibitor of apoptosis protein (IAP)-binding protein. The encoded mitochondrial protein enters the cytosol when cells undergo apoptosis, and allows activation of caspases by binding to inhibitor of apoptosis proteins. Overexpression of the encoded protein sensitizes tumor cells to apoptosis. A mutation in The related gene is associated with young-adult onset of nonsyndromic deafness-64. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
